During a study day held in Algiers, Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Wassim Kouidri, announced the adoption of the country's first national list of essential medicines. This new framework is the result of work carried out by a multidisciplinary committee of experts and sector stakeholders. Its primary purpose is to ensure the long-term availability of vital treatments, align local manufacturing with health priorities, and boost the national pharmaceutical industry's capacity for export and strategic investment.
