Oran 1 Ahmed Ben Bella University hosted a national forum discussing the integration of artificial intelligence within university education. Organized by the SIGMA laboratory alongside partners from Biskra University and academic AI centers, the meeting explored balancing smart technologies with human critical thinking and creativity. Key discussions addressed academic integrity, ethical data usage, and the necessity of human oversight in algorithmic outputs. Proposed recommendations include adopting a pedagogical charter to regulate AI use, updating assessment methods to prioritize analytical skills over final results, and providing ongoing training for faculty members to ensure responsible integration while bridging the digital divide.
