Ghaza's Children: Facing Displacement, Loss, and a Precarious Winter

UNICEF reports that nearly 800,000 Palestinian children remain displaced within the Ghaza Strip, facing deteriorating living conditions as winter sets in. Since the October 2025 ceasefire, over 340 children have been killed, while at least 60,000 have lost one or both parents due to the ongoing conflict. Although more than 560,000 children have resumed some form of schooling through UN-supported centers, the lack of sufficient humanitarian funding and destroyed infrastructure continue to impede their recovery. UNICEF continues to call for sustained international support to provide adequate shelter, mental health care, and basic services to protect the most vulnerable children.
