The arrest of 61 Moroccan citizens in Oran by Algerian security services for planning acts of sabotage has sparked significant questions regarding their identities. According to activist Aissa El Arabi, most of those apprehended are individuals with criminal records who were granted a royal pardon in exchange for carrying out subversive activities. El Arabi highlighted that this is a recurring pattern, referencing the murder of singer Mustapha Soulit in Al Hoceima, committed by an individual who had received a similar pardon. It is reported that these individuals infiltrated Algeria via Tunisia by land before reaching Oran.
