Mandated by the President of the Republic, Minister and High Commissioner for Digitalization Meriem Benmouloud represented Algeria at the World Digital Forum held in Moscow from October 8 to 10, 2026. During the high-level sessions, she engaged in discussions regarding global AI governance and challenges in standardizing technological regulations. The Minister highlighted Algeria's structural achievements in digital transformation and its commitment to national digital sovereignty. On the sidelines of the event, she held a meeting with the UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Technology to discuss the country's progress toward sustainable development goals and its role as a founding member of the WAICO organization.
