Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Laid Rebiga, inaugurated the official ceremonies marking the 65th anniversary of the October 17, 1961, demonstrations this Saturday in Boumerdès. Held at the main public library under the theme "From the Depth of Memory to the Horizons of the Future," the event was attended by local authorities, including the wali of Boumerdès, and figures from revolutionary organizations. The program included a formal reception for fifteen veterans who lived through the October 17 events as members of the FLN Federation in France, alongside members of diaspora associations dedicated to preserving historical memory.
