Béjaïa: A middle school introduces a digital alert system for student absences

The Abdelmoumen Middle School in Béjaïa has launched a new electronic tracking system to monitor student attendance and alert parents via SMS. Notifications are sent fifteen minutes after the start of the first class session using a barcode scanning process on the students' correspondence notebooks. The institution is currently testing the system for one week to evaluate its efficiency. While the initiative has received positive feedback online, some users have expressed concerns regarding its effectiveness in overcrowded schools and suggested alternative methods for student identification.
