The water utility company SEAAL has announced temporary disruptions to the drinking water supply across 18 municipalities in the western part of Algiers due to scheduled maintenance work. The operation is set to take place from Monday, October 19, through the evening of Thursday, October 22. The affected areas include Sidi Abdellah, Mahelma, Rahmania, Zeralda, Staoueli, Cheraga, Ain Benian, Hammamet, Baba Hassen, Tessala Merdja, Saoula, Bir Khadem, Djasr Kasentina, Bouzareah, Beni Messous, Rais Hamidou, Bologhine, and Oued Koriche. SEAAL stated that the service will gradually return to its regular schedule on Thursday night once the maintenance is completed and the main storage tanks are refilled.
