Algerian Embassy in Madrid launches mobile consular unit for citizens in Northwest Spain
The Algerian Embassy in Madrid has unveiled plans for a mobile consular office serving the community in Northwest Spain, specifically those living in Galicia, to help them avoid traveling long distances. The mobile unit will handle various administrative tasks, including consular registration, renewals of biometric passports and identity cards, and civil status registrations such as births and marriages. It will also address national service issues, electoral list updates, and the collection of pre-issued documents like deferment certificates. To participate, residents must submit a request via email by November 10, 2026. For biometric document renewals, physical files must be sent via express mail to the Embassy in Madrid before the same deadline. The specific dates and location for the services in A Coruña have yet to be announced, and the Embassy advises citizens to monitor upcoming official communications.
