General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, hosted the Minister of State and Minister of National Defense of Niger, General Salifou Mody, on Tuesday at the army headquarters. The visit included formal military honors and the playing of both national anthems. During the talks, the two sides reviewed bilateral military cooperation and discussed shared regional concerns. General Chanegriha highlighted the deep historical and fraternal bonds linking Algeria and Niger, noting that this visit builds upon the historic visit of President Abdourahamane Tiani to Algeria in February 2026. The meeting was attended by senior military officials from both nations and concluded with the exchange of symbolic gifts and the signing of the guestbook by the Nigerien minister.
