Marking the 65th anniversary of the National Day of Migration, the wilaya of Oran held official ceremonies to name university residences and inaugurate new educational facilities. The wali of Oran oversaw the naming of two student residences in the Belgaid area after freedom fighters: Belgaid 07 was named after Moudjahid Cheikh Mohamed, and the 2000-bed residence in Belgaid 09 was named after Moudjahid Toumi Abdelkader. Additionally, two new primary schools were inaugurated in the municipalities of Hassi Ben Okba and Hassi Bounif, the latter being named in honor of Moudjahid Ben Djabara Mohamed. The local authorities also launched an urban renewal project in Haciane Toual to improve residents' living conditions, underscoring the commitment to preserving the memory of the 1961 Paris demonstrations while fostering regional development.
