The National Office of Meteorology has issued an orange-level weather alert for heavy rain across southern Algeria. The first phase of the alert covers the provinces of Ouargla, El Menia, In Salah, Beni Abbes, Adrar, Timimoun, Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, and In Guezzam, where rainfall is expected to reach between 20 and 40 mm from Tuesday, October 13, at 12:00 PM until Wednesday, October 14, at 3:00 PM. Additionally, the provinces of Bechar, Naama, El Bayadh, Laghouat, Ghardaia, Touggourt, El Oued, and Illizi are expected to receive between 20 and 30 mm of rain, effective from Tuesday, October 13, at 12:00 PM until Wednesday, October 14, at 3:00 AM.
