Algeria and the European Union are developing a five-year economic partnership initiative dubbed "EU–Algeria for Business". Following preliminary meetings that began on October 12, 2026, at the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), the program focuses on boosting investments, facilitating trade, and supporting Algerian companies in accessing European markets. The cooperation rests on three pillars: improving the business climate, digitizing trade procedures to lower operational costs, and ensuring product compliance with European quality and environmental standards. Assisted by the International Trade Centre, the project aims to foster industrial partnerships and help diversify the Algerian economy.
