During a Council of Ministers meeting, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune reviewed the progress of several strategic national projects. The discussion highlighted the mining railway line from Bled El Hadba to the port of Annaba and the expansion of its mineral terminal, deemed vital for regional development. Additionally, a new railway project connecting Laghouat to Tamanrasset via El Meniaa and In Salah was announced, with operations launching in the south. On the water front, the President emphasized the immediate connection of seawater desalination plants in Chlef, Mostaganem, and Tlemcen. Measures to regulate well drilling were also ordered to preserve groundwater resources. Finally, the government presented a new mechanism to monitor the daily availability and pricing of essential consumer goods across the country.
