The Ministry of Health has announced the launch of the seasonal influenza vaccination campaign for the 2026-2027 period, starting October 27. Provincial health directorates have been instructed to begin collecting vaccine doses from the Pasteur Institute in Dely Ibrahim as of October 21. Priority groups for this campaign include the elderly, individuals with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, healthcare workers, and pilgrims. The ministry has emphasized the need for strict logistical planning, including cold chain maintenance and the preparation of vaccination centers within local health facilities, to ensure the success of the campaign and enable accurate tracking of coverage and results.
