On Thursday, the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Mohamed Hattab, met with the Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA), Amar Takdjout, and the Secretary General of the African Regional Organization of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-Africa), Joel Akhator Odigie. The session focused on strengthening social dialogue, expanding social protection, and promoting decent work. Minister Hattab reaffirmed Algeria's commitment to fostering African cooperation to protect labor rights and improve professional conditions. Both sides agreed on the necessity of ongoing consultation and the exchange of expertise to address labor-related challenges across the African continent.
