USM Alger will play both legs of their CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round tie against Equatoguinean side The Panthers at the 5 July Stadium in Algiers. The Confederation of African Football approved the joint request submitted by the club and the Algerian Football Federation to stage both matches in the capital. The first leg is scheduled for October 20, followed by the return leg on October 25, both kicking off at 8:00 PM. As the 2026 continental title holders, USMA received a bye in the first round. The team aims to utilize the home advantage to secure a spot in the group stage against their opponents, who qualified by overcoming Benin's ASPAC FC.
