The Minister of Internal Trade and Regulation of the National Market, Amel Abdel Latif, convened a remote meeting with regional directors to establish a decentralized system for the daily monitoring of consumer goods' prices and availability. This initiative follows the President of the Republic's directives to ensure consistent oversight across the country through intensified field inspections. The Ministry also introduced a digital platform for citizens to report price irregularities and consumer safety concerns. Furthermore, the Ministry issued a reminder regarding the mandatory requirement for all economic operators to clearly display prices and tariffs for all products and services. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in legal action, including financial penalties of up to 100,000 Algerian dinars, potential administrative closure of commercial premises, and the seizure of goods involved in the violations.
