During the 77th session of the UNHCR Executive Committee, the Geneva Group for the Support of Western Sahara emphasized the need for a fair and lasting political solution acceptable to both the Polisario Front and the Kingdom of Morocco, in line with UN principles. Represented by the Ambassador of Mozambique, the group urged the international community and donors to bolster humanitarian funding to address the needs of Sahrawi refugees. Furthermore, they highlighted the legal and moral responsibility of the UN system to support these refugees until a political solution is achieved that upholds their dignity.
