Baladna Project: 35,000 cows from the US to arrive in Adrar next November

The Algerian-Qatari Baladna project is set to receive its first shipment of 35,000 cows imported from the United States on November 25 at Adrar airport. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sid Ali Khaldi, inspected the site, specifically the sanitary rest facility currently under construction and scheduled for completion by November 15. The cattle will undergo a 36-hour rest period before being moved to the farm on November 27. This large-scale project, which intends to reach a total herd of 250,000, aims to strengthen domestic powdered milk production and satisfy local market needs.
