Minister of Housing, Mohamed-Tarek Belaribi, outlined the sector's 2027 roadmap to the National People's Assembly's Finance Committee, backed by payment credits exceeding 896 billion dinars. The plan focuses on registering 545,000 new housing units, including 350,000 under the AADL 3 program, to address national demand. The ministry also aims to distribute 400,000 units by the end of 2026. Beyond residential construction, the program includes developing 16 urban hubs and building 621 public facilities, such as schools and healthcare centers. Digital transformation remains a key objective, marked by the expansion of e-payment services and a new information systems department. Furthermore, the housing sector's contribution to GDP reached 5.8% in 2025, driven by the significant use of locally produced construction materials.
