Algerian international forward Monsef Bakrar has etched his name into the history books by becoming the first Algerian player to find the back of the net in the iconic Cairo Derby between Al Ahly and Zamalek. During the 6th round of the Egyptian league at Cairo International Stadium, the 25-year-old secured his team's triumph after being subbed on in the 66th minute by coach Houcine Ammouta. Bakrar netted his historic goal in the 80th minute following an assist from Ahmed Sayed Zizo. This achievement marks his first goal for the club since his summer transfer, valued at 3 million euros with a contract running until 2029. The forward, who recently rejoined the Algerian national squad, has now firmly established his presence in Egyptian football.
