Minister of Finance Laaziz Faid presented the 2027 Finance Bill to the Finance and Budget Committee of the National People's Assembly. The government's core objectives include improving citizens' living standards, fostering human development, and accelerating digitalization while maintaining progress on major infrastructure projects. The bill allocates 2,414.15 billion dinars for social transfers to protect purchasing power and subsidize essential goods. Additionally, the proposal includes significant job creation in the education and health sectors and funding for key initiatives such as the Gara Djebilet iron mine and expanded rail projects. The economic framework for 2027 is built on a 60-dollar reference oil price per barrel, targeting a 4.2% GDP growth rate, alongside efforts to broaden the tax base and modernize public administration.
