Doctors based in Algiers now have access to a streamlined process for French professional visa applications. Following an agreement between the Regional Council of the Order of Physicians of Algiers and the French Consulate, applicants are required to submit their documents to the Council's office in Bir Mourad Raïs to secure a visa certificate and an appointment with the visa service provider, Capago. The office is open from Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The application must include personal identification, proof of medical registration, and professional documentation tailored to whether the applicant is a salaried employee or a private practitioner. While these measures aim to simplify the administrative burden, they do not waive standard consular requirements or guarantee visa issuance. Applicants must pay all associated fees in cash, as online payments have been suspended.
