Security services in Ouargla province, specifically the mobile judicial police brigade and the rapid intervention unit of Hassi Messaoud, have arrested eight people, including five women, involved in drug trafficking. The operation followed investigations into a plan to distribute psychotropic substances within the urban area. Authorities initially stopped a man and a woman on a bus, finding them with 339 capsules of 300mg Pregabalin. Further investigation, coordinated with the public prosecutor, led to the arrest of the remaining suspects. The operation resulted in the seizure of a total of 4,087 psychotropic capsules and 1,045 units of alcoholic beverages. All suspects have been presented before the prosecutor at the Hassi Messaoud court.
