The Arabic Language Research Unit in Ouargla has launched a scientific initiative to integrate the Arabic language into the evolving field of artificial intelligence. Led by Dr. Salima Ayad in collaboration with AI and neuropsychology laboratories, the project focuses on creating a standardized vocal and physiological database of human emotions. By utilizing deep learning algorithms to analyze voice intonations, facial expressions, and physiological responses, the research aims to enable machines to recognize and predict human emotions. This technology is set to be applied in critical sectors, including the oil and gas industry to monitor operator fatigue, road safety, mental health diagnostics, and adaptive e-learning systems, ensuring that Arabic-speaking users are effectively represented in next-generation AI architectures.
