The judicial police of Tlemcen province have successfully dismantled an organized criminal group involved in maritime migrant smuggling. The operation led to the arrest of four individuals, including one woman. Police seized a semi-rigid boat equipped with a 200-horsepower engine, along with various maritime equipment such as life jackets. Furthermore, the authorities confiscated 1,000 euros in foreign currency, over 600 million Algerian centimes in local currency, and several mobile phones used for coordination between members of the network. The suspects have been brought before the public prosecutor at the Tlemcen court to face legal proceedings.
