The Cereal Office releases regulated price list for dry pulses

The Professional Office of Cereals has established a price list for dry pulses aimed at consumers, ensuring affordable access to staple food items. Split peas are priced at 110 DA, while lentils range from 100 to 150 DA depending on the variety. White beans cost between 210 and 310 DA, and red beans are set at 260 DA. Chickpeas are available in five price categories ranging from 190 to 360 DA, and rice prices vary between 100 and 140 DA. The office noted that prices may increase by 10 to 20 DA if the products are packaged. These initiatives align with the government's strategy to bolster consumer purchasing power, which includes extending customs duty exemptions for the import of pulses, rice, and livestock until December 31, 2029.
