National economy exhibits strong growth indicators

Minister of Finance, Mohamed Lamine Louhou, highlighted the positive trajectory of the Algerian economy during a national meeting with economic operators. The country's GDP reached 37,792.6 billion DA in 2025, up from 36,103.5 billion DA in 2024, with growth expected to exceed 4% in 2026. The Minister attributed this momentum to a 20% increase in national investment during 2025 and improved banking support for economic activities. The services sector leads with a 47.8% share of the GDP, followed by agriculture and manufacturing. Louhou emphasized the national economy's resilience against global crises and confirmed that foreign trade remains steady. Moving forward, he stressed the need to further enhance local production and expand non-hydrocarbon exports to maintain this growth cycle.
