During an inspection visit to the Adrar province, the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Sid-Ali Khaldi, stated that the Algerian-Qatari 'Baladna' project serves as an integrated model combining agriculture, production, and processing. This strategic investment, which focuses on cattle breeding, fodder and corn production, as well as the manufacturing of powdered milk and red meat, is designed to enhance food security and reduce import dependency while fostering job creation. The Ministry is providing technical support, including veterinary and health monitoring. The project aims to transform Southern Algeria into a hub of agricultural excellence. During his visit, the Minister examined the progress on the animal quarantine facilities near Adrar airfield, the milk powder factory construction site, and the agricultural lands dedicated to corn cultivation in the Aoulef and Fenoughil districts.
