Algerian pharmaceutical products reach the Ivorian market

The Algerian pharmaceutical industry has successfully exported 2.3 tons of locally manufactured medicine to Côte d'Ivoire. The shipment, managed by the SOPHAL laboratory, highlights the country's growing ambition to expand its presence across the African continent. Officials from the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Industry stated that the export met all required technical and regulatory standards, emphasizing that national supply levels remain stable and unaffected by these foreign shipments. With a second batch already planned for the near future, Algeria is leveraging its industrial base—which includes over 30% of the continent's pharmaceutical production sites—to secure international certifications from the WHO. This move is part of a broader strategy to boost high-value exports while maintaining local market stability.
