Air Transport: Air Algérie expands its network as Volotea and Transavia scale back

Due to lower winter demand and rising fuel costs, low-cost carriers Volotea and Transavia have reduced their flight frequencies to Algeria from French cities. Volotea has specifically cut or cancelled various routes serving cities such as Béjaïa, Oran, Sétif, and Constantine, while Transavia has limited its services from Montpellier. Seizing the opportunity, Air Algérie is strengthening its market position by launching a promotional campaign with up to 50% discounts on international flights. Furthermore, the national airline is expanding its reach by opening six new international routes, including services to Shanghai, Conakry, Brazzaville, Lagos, Abuja, and Kuwait, alongside the resumption of daily flights to Doha.
