The Algiers Stock Exchange has announced the official listing of 'Ijarah' sovereign sukuk, issued by the public treasury. The listed value stands at 137.4 billion DZD out of a total issuance of 296.6 billion DZD. The remaining 159.2 billion DZD was subscribed in physical form with an annual rental rate of 6 percent. Launched in January 2026, this initiative is designed to finance major public projects in infrastructure and public services. The move is part of a broader proactive approach to modernize the national financial system, diversify funding sources, and align financial tools with international standards.
