National Gendarmerie units in Constantine have arrested six individuals for allegedly engaging in illegal price speculation involving vehicle tires. The operation led to the seizure of 106 locally manufactured 'Iris' brand tires, which were either hidden or being sold at prices more than double the official regulated rate. A light truck used for transporting the goods was also seized during the intervention. Aimed at safeguarding consumer purchasing power and curbing illicit trade, the operation will see the suspects presented before the judicial authorities.
