The University of Ferhat Abbas Sétif 1 inaugurated the new academic year with a ceremony attended by the provincial governor, Mustapha Limani, celebrating the inclusion of four of its researchers in the prestigious Stanford list of the world's top 2% most influential scientists. The honored academics include Abdelmadjid Bouhemadou, Yacine Benguerba, Ahmed Kharmouche, and the late Zoubida Zaidi, in recognition of their significant scientific impact. The Stanford ranking evaluates research quality through specific indicators rather than just publication counts. During the event, the governor emphasized the importance of scientific research and academic excellence, while also honoring newly promoted professors, urging the university community to continue expanding its international influence.
