National Microcredit Agency to Launch E-commerce Platform by 2026

The National Microcredit Management Agency (Angem) is set to debut its "Angem Market" online platform before the end of 2026. This initiative is designed to enable micro-project beneficiaries to sell their goods directly to consumers, providing a sustainable commercial outlet alongside physical exhibitions. General Director Souad Bendjemil confirmed that the project supports national entrepreneurship by offering financial aid for raw materials and equipment, coupled with training in financial management and business operations. In 2025 alone, the agency funded 22,000 projects, leading to the creation of approximately 23,000 jobs. Beyond local support, Angem is actively promoting Algerian products globally, encouraging artisans to enhance quality and packaging standards to tap into international markets, as demonstrated by successful participation in exhibitions abroad.
