Government meeting reviews digital transformation, water security, and Arab justice cooperation

Prime Minister Sifi Gherib chaired a government meeting this Thursday to review the implementation of the President's latest directives. The session focused on the universal telecommunications service mechanism, a strategic priority aimed at ending digital isolation in sparsely populated areas via full state funding. Additionally, the government assessed the progress of wastewater treatment plants, with a goal to utilize 60% of treated water to bolster national water and food security, particularly for agriculture. Finally, the meeting evaluated the ongoing preparations for Algeria to host the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice.
