Urban redevelopment projects in Neighborhood Units 9 and 16 of the new city of Ali Mendjeli, Constantine, have reached 85% completion. Covering an area of nearly 150 hectares, the initiative aims to enhance living conditions by refurbishing roads and sidewalks, creating seating areas, and constructing local sports fields. The use of polished stone in public spaces has notably improved the aesthetic appeal of the neighborhoods. The work also addresses technical issues such as sewage and drinking water network rehabilitation to prevent flooding and infrastructure degradation. Unit 9, home to 40,000 people, and Unit 16, home to 25,000, have undergone significant transformations, shifting from areas with lacking facilities to modernized living spaces. Residents have welcomed the improvements, awaiting the final handover of these communal facilities.
