On Tuesday, the wali of El Bayadh province, Noureddine Belaribi, held a meeting to review the progress of the railway project linking El Bayadh to Djelfa via Aflou. The project, which starts from the El Bayadh station, covers a total distance of approximately 265 kilometers. The design includes a single track with infrastructure prepared for future double-tracking. The line is intended for mixed use, supporting train speeds of up to 220 km/h for passengers and 100 km/h for freight transportation. Highlighting the strategic importance of this infrastructure for regional development and connectivity, the wali urged for enhanced coordination between the design office, the national agency for railway investment, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure the project's successful implementation.
