Launch of a national awareness campaign against online fraud
The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications is initiating a national awareness campaign starting tomorrow, Sunday, running until October 30, to protect citizens from online fraud. The campaign urges users to be cautious of suspicious links that request personal data, noting that postal and banking institutions never ask for sensitive information via text message. To avoid digital scams, the ministry advises checking sender addresses, updating security software, using strong passwords, and enabling two-step verification for all online accounts.
