President Tebboune commemorates the 17 October demonstrations

On the occasion of National Migration Day, marking the 65th anniversary of the October 17, 1961 demonstrations, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune addressed the nation to honor the Algerian immigrants who marched peacefully in Paris against colonial restrictions and racism. The President recalled the brutal crackdown led by Maurice Papon, which saw many protesters lose their lives in the Seine while supporting the liberation revolution.
