During a meeting with economic operators, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune declared 2027 as a pivotal year for Algeria's transition toward a free and competitive economic model. The President noted that the national GDP has surpassed 400 billion dollars, and instructed the Minister of Finance to coordinate with global financial institutions to revise their economic assessments of the country. A key announcement included the launch of a single-window investment office starting next January to streamline administrative processes. Furthermore, the President outlined major infrastructure and industrial goals, including the production of an Algerian-made vehicle by the end of 2028, the completion of the Trans-Saharan Highway by 2027, and the inauguration of the railway line to Tamanrasset by the end of 2028.
