The Prime Minister has signed an executive decree creating a committee tasked with managing import applications to enhance coordination across economic and financial sectors. Led by the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the committee includes representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Bank of Algeria, and the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Institutions. Its primary mandate is to evaluate the needs of economic operators and prioritize urgent products essential for national market supply and production continuity. The committee will also analyze data from the dedicated digital import platform to propose measures for streamlining request processing. Regular reports on the committee's activities will be submitted to the Prime Minister.
