Tassili Travail Aérien, a subsidiary of the Sonatrach group, has finalized the technical inspection process for two new Cessna SkyCourier aircraft manufactured by Textron Aviation in the United States. Expected to arrive in Algiers by the end of October, these planes mark the first acquisition of this specific model in Africa and the first worldwide to feature a configuration specialized for aerial medical evacuation. These aircraft are set to bolster the company’s operational capacity, supporting the energy sector and enhancing passenger transport and special mission services. The new units will be stationed in Algiers and Hassi Messaoud to ensure better service delivery. The US Ambassador to Algeria praised the acquisition, highlighting it as a testament to the robust commercial ties between the two nations and Algeria’s access to advanced American aviation technology.
