Algeria's non-hydrocarbon exports reached nearly $4 billion during the first eight months of 2026, marking a 10% increase compared to the previous year. According to Zouheir Moussaoui from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, the total for the year is projected to reach $5 billion. The food industry significantly contributed to this result, recording $213 million in exports, up by 15%. The country has achieved self-sufficiency in various food categories and now exports goods like biscuits, chocolates, and olive oil to about 30 nations. To further expand its global footprint, Algeria is leveraging trade events, such as the "Made in Algeria" exhibition in Blida and an upcoming participation as a guest of honor in Senegal, to connect with markets across Africa, Europe, Asia, and America.
