Constantine: Criminal network dismantled for stealing bank data via malicious TV apps

The cybercrime unit of the Constantine provincial police has arrested 10 individuals involved in a sophisticated cybercriminal operation. The group used TV streaming applications embedded with malware to remotely hijack victims' smartphones and steal their banking information. The illicitly obtained funds were transferred to postal accounts (CCP) before being laundered through cryptocurrency trading and illegal gambling platforms. During the arrests, police seized computers, premium smartphones, a luxury vehicle, prohibited bladed weapons, and significant amounts of cash and digital currency. Investigations indicated that over 100 million dinars in various currencies were processed through the suspects' accounts during their three-month criminal campaign.
