France faces fresh wave of student protests

France is bracing for a new wave of student protests today, Tuesday, as demonstrators continue to push for improved educational conditions. Despite the Ministry of Education asserting that most high schools remain open, the student movement, ongoing since mid-September, rejects the government's current proposals. The high school student union insists on an additional 10 million euros in funding to enhance study environments. With growing concerns that the movement may expand to include socio-economic issues related to the rising cost of living, calls for further demonstrations this Saturday have been issued. According to French authorities, over 6,800 people have been arrested since the protests began, with damages estimated at no less than 30 million euros.
