A high-level Algerian delegation, led by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Hydrocarbons, Miloud Medjelled, attended the US LNG summit and exhibition in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The delegation, which included Algerian Ambassador to the US Sabri Boukadoum and Sonatrach CEO Nour Eddine Daoudi, also took part in the 19th 'Algeria Energy Day'. The mission aimed to strengthen bilateral energy partnerships, focusing on technology transfers and investments in oil, gas, and LNG sectors. During the visit, meetings were held with officials from the US Department of Energy and representatives of ExxonMobil to discuss new investment opportunities. Algeria highlighted its hydrocarbon sector potential, notably through the 'Algeria Bid Round 2026' initiative, designed to attract international partners and foster collaborative exploration and production projects.
