During the session, attended by ministry officials and representatives of the Algerian Highways agency, the focus was on identifying measures to speed up construction works and ensure the timely completion of projects through enhanced collaboration. Additionally, the meeting addressed the maintenance program for the national highway network, specifically the East-West highway. Discussions included the current status of repairs in high-risk zones, an evaluation of the 2026 schedule, and planning for upcoming maintenance initiatives in 2027, all intended to improve travel conditions and ensure the long-term sustainability of the transport network.
