The Ministry of Internal Trade and National Market Regulation has ramped up its efforts to ensure the availability and price stability of essential consumer goods. In accordance with presidential directives issued on October 18, 2026, a decentralized monitoring mechanism using daily reports has been implemented to track price trends across the country. During a video conference with regional directors, Minister Amel Abdellatif called for the deployment of more field inspection teams to monitor the market. The ministry is also encouraging public participation, urging consumers to report price discrepancies, which will assist authorities in maintaining better traceability and enforcing fair commercial practices nationwide.
